CORPORATE VOLUNTEERISM

Looking for ways to engage and retain staff while giving back to the community? Whether you’re looking for unique, rewarding team-building opportunities, business-to-business networking or a great fit for your corporate social responsibility platform, United Way can meet your company’s needs. Our volunteer engagement staff will help craft a custom volunteer experience that will be fun, and most importantly, something of consequence. Examples include:
  • Hosting a site visit for students to learn more about your industry
  • Assembling kits of schools supplies or hygiene items
  • Planning an appreciation day for teachers at a low-income school
  • Reading to children at local schools
  • Hosting a food or household items drive

DAY OF CARING

In 2022, we had nearly 1,500 volunteers come together to complete over 100 projects at nonprofits across South Hampton Roads. Thanks to all who made Day of Caring such a success! Save the date for Day of Caring 2023 on September 15.
