“I have been involved with the United Way of South Hampton Roads for seven years and my first experience was as a donor and volunteer for Day of Caring. I had the fortunate opportunity to work for a Company that participated in United Way workplace giving; hearing firsthand accounts of employees benefiting from the United Way and experiencing fulfillment and a greater sense of community as we worked together with local non-profits for Day of Caring. That exposure to the United Way led me to where I am today, working as the Director of Women United, even more in awe of the accomplishments of our organization on a day-to-day basis and seeing how we continue to ‘co-power’ our neighbors.”
