The Tocqueville Society, named after Alexis de Tocqueville, embodies the American spirit of combining philanthropy and service to advance society. Members of the society collectively invest over $3 million annually to create a better future for women, children, veterans, and families in South Hampton Roads. By making a minimum annual gift of $10,000 or participating in the step-up program, community leaders can gradually reach the giving level over three years while enjoying the recognition and benefits of Tocqueville membership. Tocqueville giving forms the foundation of our annual campaign, and we greatly appreciate the leadership and generosity of our members who drive our impact.
